Reference document covering the scope, submission criteria, and application of the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC). This guidance is provided for general information; travellers should consult the Immigration Bureau of Thailand for authoritative guidance.
The Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) is the mandatory online arrival declaration for all foreign nationals entering Thailand by air, land, or sea. It replaced the paper TM6 form in May 2025 and generates a QR code that is presented to immigration officers on arrival, together with the traveller's passport.
The declaration must be submitted for every entry into Thailand. Once submitted, a QR code is issued by email. It should be saved offline or printed, as connectivity at ports of entry can be unreliable on arrival.
| Validity Period | One submission per entry into Thailand |
| Number of Entries | A new TDAC is required for every entry |
| Maximum Stay per Entry | Up to 60 days visa-free for most eligible nationalities (currently under revision); the final period is determined by the immigration officer on arrival |
| Modes of Travel | Air, land, and sea |
| Issuing Authority | Immigration Bureau of Thailand |
Citizens of 93 countries and territories currently enter Thailand visa-free, most for up to 60 days per entry, extendable once by 30 days at a local immigration office for a fee of THB 1,900. The Thai Cabinet has approved a revised scheme that would shorten the standard visa-free stay to 30 days for most nationalities; it takes effect only after publication in the Royal Gazette.
Unlike a visa, the Thailand Digital Arrival Card applies to foreign travellers of all nationalities. There is no eligibility list to check: any foreign national clearing Thai immigration must complete the declaration on every entry. Citizens of 93 countries and territories may additionally enter visa-free, most currently for up to 60 days.
Exemptions: Thai citizens do not need a TDAC. Travellers transiting or transferring without seeking immigration clearance, and those crossing with a local border pass, are also exempt.
To complete a TDAC submission, the applicant must hold the following at the time of submission:

The standard process consists of three stages:
