Complete your Thailand Digital Arrival Card
The Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) is a mandatory online entry declaration for foreign visitors. Replacing the paper TM6 form, it generates a QR code to present at immigration upon arrival.
Do I need TDAC?
Select the situation that matches your travel plans before starting your declaration.
You are visiting Thailand for tourism, business, or a short trip
Every foreign national clearing Thai immigration must complete a TDAC prior to arrival on every entry, whether traveling visa-free, with an eVisa, or on a long-stay visa. Most eligible nationalities currently enter visa-free for up to 60 days.
Your nationality requires a visa, or you plan to work or stay long-term
The TDAC is an arrival declaration, not an entry visa. If your nationality is not visa-exempt, or if you intend to work, study, or reside in Thailand long-term, you must obtain the appropriate visa via the official Thai eVisa system before departure.

Passengers connecting airside through a Thai airport without passing through immigration control are exempt from submitting a TDAC. Thai citizens and holders of local border passes are also exempt.
No TDAC required
Who Must Submit
Unlike a visa, the Thailand Digital Arrival Card applies universally to foreign travelers of all nationalities. There is no eligibility list to check: if you are a foreign national clearing Thai immigration, the declaration is required on every entry. Citizens of 93 countries and territories may additionally enter visa-free, currently for up to 60 days.
A traveler must submit a TDAC if:
- ✓They are a foreign national entering Thailand by air, land, or sea.
- ✓They are entering visa-free, on a Visa on Arrival, an eVisa, or any long-stay visa category.
- ✓They have visited Thailand before; a new TDAC is required for every individual entry.
A TDAC is not required if:
- ✕The traveler holds Thai citizenship.
- ✕The traveler remains in international airside transit without seeking immigration clearance.
- ✕The traveler crosses the border using a local border pass.

Essential Information for Travelling to Thailand
The guidelines below provide general reference for travelers entering Thailand under the Digital Arrival Card framework. Official rules remain under the authority of the Immigration Bureau of Thailand and the Royal Thai Embassy.
What the TDAC Covers
The TDAC is an individual declaration submitted prior to each trip. It consolidates:
- Personal identity and passport information
- Travel details, flight/vessel numbers, and accommodation address in Thailand
- An electronic health declaration
Upon submission, an official QR code is issued by email. Save it to your phone for offline access or print a copy, as mobile data coverage inside airport arrival halls can vary. Key identity fields (such as full name, passport number, and date of birth) cannot be edited once submitted; if an error is detected, a new declaration must be filed so immigration officers can reference the most recent record.
When to Submit
The official submission window opens 72 hours (3 days) prior to arrival, and earlier submissions are rejected by the government portal. Completing your TDAC one to two days before departure is recommended, once flight details and accommodation addresses are finalized.
- A passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the intended date of entry.
- Your TDAC QR code (digital image or printed copy).
- A confirmed return or onward travel ticket within your permitted stay.
- Evidence of accommodation arrangements (hotel booking or host address).
- Proof of sufficient financial funds (officers may request proof equivalent to THB 20,000 per person or THB 40,000 per family).
Health Provisions for Visitors
Thailand's public healthcare system does not extend free medical coverage to foreign visitors. As treatment costs must be self-funded, securing comprehensive travel and medical insurance prior to departure is strongly advised.
A Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate is mandatory for travelers arriving from or transiting through endemic risk regions.
Customs and Prohibited Goods
Thailand strictly enforces border customs laws. E-cigarettes and vaping devices are illegal and prohibited. Duty-free allowances for alcohol and tobacco are strictly capped, and narcotics offences carry severe penalties under Thai law. Foreign currency exceeding USD 20,000 (or equivalent) must be declared upon arrival.
Climate and Weather
Thailand features a tropical climate divided into three primary seasons:
- Hot Season (Mar-May): High temperatures often exceeding 35°C, particularly inland and in northern provinces.
- Cool Season (Nov-Feb): Warm, dry, and comfortable across most regions, with cooler evening temperatures in the north.
- Rainy Season (Jun-Oct): Hot and humid with frequent, short monsoon downpours; rougher sea conditions occur along the Andaman coast.
Local Logistics & Practical Information
- Power Outlets: 230V / 50Hz accepting Type A, B, C, and O plugs (flat and round pin sockets).

Frequently Asked Questions
The official QR code is issued shortly after filing with the Immigration Bureau. Because the submission window opens only 72 hours prior to arrival, our team prepares and checks your dossier in advance, lodging it automatically as soon as the government portal opens.
Yes, every foreign traveler must be declared, including infants and minors. Family members or groups traveling together on the same itinerary can be included within a single submission session for up to 10 travelers.
No. The TDAC confirms your arrival declaration only. Your granted stay length is determined by the border immigration officer under whichever visa-exemption rules are in force on your date of entry.
The TDAC is permanently linked to the exact passport number submitted. If you receive a replacement passport before traveling, you must file a new TDAC reflecting the updated details, as the old record will not match at immigration.
Yes. Every physical entry into Thailand requires an individual TDAC, even for same-day border crossings to neighboring countries and back.
Yes. At major international airports like Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang, automated e-Gates cross-check your TDAC against your passport chip and a live facial scan. Any data mismatch, such as a typo in your name or passport number, will redirect you to a manual clearance counter, making pre-submission accuracy essential.
Our customer support team provides dedicated guidance for Thailand Digital Arrival Card filings, helping travelers complete mandatory declarations accurately and on schedule.
Please note that the TDAC is an official requirement of the Royal Thai Government. A filed declaration does not guarantee entry; final admission is determined by a Thai immigration officer at the port of entry. For direct government guidelines, refer to the Immigration Bureau of Thailand.
