Comprehensive guide covering the scope, eligibility, validity, and application process for the Indonesia Electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VOA). This information is provided for general guidance; please always verify current regulations with the official Directorate General of Immigration.
The Electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VOA) is the official entry visa for eligible passport holders visiting Indonesia for tourism, family visits, business meetings, or transit. Applied for online before departure, it lets you skip the payment queue at the airport and go straight to immigration with your visa already approved. The e-VOA is issued by the Directorate General of Immigration and is digitally linked to your passport.
This authorisation permits a single entry for a stay of up to 30 days, extendable once for a further 30 days. It does not grant the right to paid employment or long-term study. Upon approval, travellers receive an email confirmation that should be retained for reference. Please note that while an approved e-VOA serves as your official travel clearance, final admission is determined by an Indonesian immigration officer at the point of entry.
